Ronnie Sellers VIEW PROFILE

James Ronald “Ronnie” Sellers, age 75 of Gibson, entered his Heavenly home on October 22, 2022.

Ronnie was born in Maxton, NC on February 11, 1947, the son of the late James Melvin Sellers and Helen Burdell Sellers. He faithfully attended Central United Methodist Church and served the Lord as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, a devoted member of the choir, and a Sunday School teacher.

Ronnie became a well-known member of the community as an employee of Sears in Sanford, as a talented auctioneer for Brick City Auction company, worked a real estate broker, and proudly worked as owner/operator/defender of Quality Parts for twenty years. He was also owner/operator of Sellers Auction & Realty. As an avid outdoorsman, he also taught concealed carry classes and hunter safety courses to the youth of Scotland County. He was a founding member of the DIFF club (Davis Island Fishing Foundation).

Of all his roles, Ronnie was most proud of being a devoted husband and father. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 38 years, Jean Laws Sellers. Together with Jean, Ronnie leaves a legacy of five children and fifteen grandchildren: Robbie Smith (Lori) and two children; Jay Sellers (Catherine) and one child; Jody Sellers (Kristen) and two children; Jennifer (Eric) and four children; and Rodney Morris (April) and six children. He is also survived by his loving sister, Kim Tyner, and his brother, Mitchell Sellers.

Ronnie was a true gentleman, a charismatic friend who never met a stranger, and a fierce protector of his family. Most of all, Ronnie will be remembered as a man of Faith, a devout Christian who used every opportunity he found to share the Gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He will always be remembered as joyfully singing praises and giving thanks to God. We celebrate now that Ronnie rests in the Loving arms of his Father, and is completely whole, fully healed, and filled with joy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.   Family will receive friends prior to services on Saturday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.       Burial will be 3:00 p.m. in the Lemon Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery, Sanford, NC.
